At the Paris Show, one bull strongly distinguished himself in the young cows catergory....Picston Shottle.  He was  the bull who was most represented at the show with five Shottles daughters competing.

 



 

 

 

 Southern Ireland

There was an excellent show of cattle on Saturday and Genus ABS bulls did reallywell with the Intermediate champion going to I&L Robinson from Co.Down. This senior  heifer by Modesto, was bred in T Kelly's Monamore herd. She was a

tall dairy heifer with style, excellent in the body, feet & legs and udder. She really had a s uper ring presence.

 

Shottle had a good day winning the August calf class with a real styler bredby T. Murphy, Kilkenny. A Shottle calf was second in the March calf class anda Shottle in milk won the confined heifer class. Kite also had a good as well, with a second in the confined heifer in milk classand first in the mature (Maiden) Class.

At the Branson Sale in America,  Robert Goldmann puchased a recently fresh Shottle daughter for $60,000!!


 Canada

Shottle daughters are selling for big bucks including the Ri-Val-Re heifers. During the Spring Sale in Michigan, Stanton Holsteins, Canada purchased the two-year-old Ri-Val Re Shottle Wendi VG87 for $50,000. Wendi is out of a Tesk Terry. The second most expensive was also a Shottle, Ri-Val-Re Caralie VG85 RC (out of a Marmax daughter), who went for $30,500 to Mercuro, Verhage, Jons &  Borman.


 America

In Iowa a Regancrest Breya VG86, was sold for $80,000. Breya is a Shottle out of the EX92 Durham daughter Barbie. Another expensive Holstein was Courtlane-UR Mac Charm (Mac x Shottle) who sold for $67,000.


 America

Top prices during the dispersal sale of the Rock-Home herd in Kansas resulted in the highest bid of no less than $44,000. It pertained to Calbrett Linda, a Shottle out of Petinesca Durham Ladina, who was purchased by Ron Suhr & Gary Housener.


 France

€6,100 was paid for a Bolton Calf out of a Shottle in a French sale.
