| The Ayrshire breed originated in south-west Scotland and can now be found all over the World.
The main advantage of the Ayrshire breed is economic milk production as they are able to produce high yields of quality milk from relatively small volumes of forage. Ayrshires also have balanced, well attached udders, good legs and feet and are dairy in character. The breed is also highly resistant to disease. Ayrshires are long life, easy to mange cows. |
