The Welsh Black breed is one of Britain's oldest breeds. The Welsh Black is regarded primarily as a beef breed. The breed is ideal for suckler replacements as they do not produce too much milk after calving and produce a steady yield for many months.
Welsh Blacks are very hardy, the cattle can be left out during winter and survive on inferior grazing.
