Parthenais is one of the oldest breeds in France, the cattle originated from Western France and Brittany. Parthenais cattle are mainly kept in herds for suckling due to their fertility, ease of calving and hardiness. Carcasses produce high yields of excellent quality meat due to the breeds good conformation and fine bone.
