Herefords are an ancient breed originating from Herefordshire.
Herefords are medium framed cattle with well-developed forequarters, a deep brisket, broad head and stocky legs. Herefords are docile, easy calving, able to produce and wean calves every year and also boast longevity. The breed is hardy and can be fattened on grass and therefore is ideal for more extensive systems.
